wise lobster



I wonder what it is you might think about our different worlds. He looked at me kinda sideways and said, "Human beings are the only creatures on Earth who claim a God, and the only living thing that behaves like it hasn't got one. Does the world belong to no one but you?" And when he said it, I was taken aback. Not because of who was doing the talking. Because I finally understood the connection between children scavenging for food, and shiny brass plates on the front doors of banks.

My two months at Yakka Mardie Feed Lot, Bruce Rock, WA, may aswell have been a lifetime. I learned/experienced/explored so much!  Myself, the world, the bush, farming, history, Australia...

have hope


Poorly educated extremists misinterpret the guidelines of their religion and cause confliction. In such a complex world we should know better than to automatically repel against an entire population because of the awful people who disrupt the peace, those people who make ill decisions for an entire group based on their own dissatisfaction. I feel for those people too, the bad eggs, for they too entered this world vulnerable and innocent.

We must all pull together, react only towards the individuals who cause disruption, not to the race/religion/nation they are poorly representing. React with compassion, understanding and hope.

Communicate, understand, educate and love all together.
